Youth Sports Philosophy

YMCA youth sports are played to help young people grow in spirit, mind and body. Learning skills, reinforcing positive values, and having fun while playing are essential elements of the program and are considered more important than winning and losing. We work to always put the growth and benefit of youth first, to maintain a balanced level of league play, and to create and preserve a place where character-building values are instilled.

Rosters and schedules will be given out after the coaches meeting. Coaches will then reach out to participants with practice times and information. Except for our Learner Leagues, practice will be one day a week on the volunteer’s time schedule. Learner League coaches will reach out to participants.
