Sports Site Supervisors assist the Youth Development Director in organizing and supervising youth sports events. Knowledge of rules of the sports ad safety procedures is required. Must have the ability to create and maintain positive relationships and effective communication with parents, children, and staff. This position coincides with the YMCA’s sports season schedule.
We are looking for Personal Trainers to provide a high quality experience for all individual and small group personal training participants in a fun and safe environment. Applicant must have current, nationally recognized certification as well as CPR/AED certification. Experience and degree preferred but not required.
We are looking for bilingual fitness instructors for a variety of fitness levels, ages, and classes. Applicant must have a certification. CPR certification needed as well. (CPR training is available after hired.)
We are looking for SilverSneakers fitness instructors. SilverSneakers is an exercise program that encourages senior adults to participate in physical activities and social events to encourage health and social interaction. Along with an understanding of teaching group exercise classes and suggesting modifications based on different abilities, this person must enjoy working with senior populations. Instructor will provide classes in a safe and fun format based on SilverSneakers training. SilverSneakers training certification and CPR certification are required. The Y is looking for ESL instructors to work with adults and children in classroom settings. The instructors will help create and lead this new Y class. They will work with students to provide knowledge and confidence in English for life skills, literacy, and/or the workplace. Teaching experience is required. Apply online or at either Y location.
The Weight Room Supervisor is a part-time position with the responsibility to be familiar with and enforce behavior and safety guidelines in the weight room at the Downtown Y. Supervisor will work with members to answer questions about how to use machines and equipment, ensure the safe use of machines and equipment, and answer questions members have related to the facility. Supervisor will deal appropriately with behavioral and emergency issues and situations. Supervisor will help maintain a clean weight room.
