SHAPE UP GRAND ISLAND !!

Shape Up GI Application (pdf)

Get in shape...lose weight…form healthy habits to last a lifetime...feel great! Let the YMCA and Hy-Vee get you started! This 10-week program will help participants with nutrition, healthy weight loss, and the beginning of an exercise program to start a new healthy lifestyle! Each participant will have weekly weigh and body measuring sessions, plus have the opportunity to work with a YMCA personal trainer. Plus there are great prize packages for the top winners!
January 25 – April 2. Registration deadline is January 15
Fees: Members: $125 Non-Members: $200
Non-Members will receive a 10 week membership.

YMCA Boot Camp

This military-style program ranges from circuit of drills to running and jumping jacks to push-ups, squats and sit-ups -- appeals to people with busy schedules who need to pack a hard workout into a quick hour.
* Boot Camp will be offered in the mornings and evenings. Please check the website or at the front desk for days, times and prices.

QuickFit

Classes will be forming in March for both Kids and Women who would like to focus on strength and cardiovascular training techniques. Check at each location for class details. Each class is open to the first 12 registrants.

 

PERSONAL WELLNESS

Certified Personal Training*
A YMCA-certified Personal Trainer is there to help track progress, provide motivation and give guidance to members in regards to exercise techniques and healthy lifestyle choices. The Personal Trainer and the client will work together to develop a workout plan.
Member $25 Single Session
$125 for 5 sessions
$250 for 10 Sessions
Non-Member $40 Single Session

Cybex Equipment Training Session
Learn how to correctly adjust each cybex machine to fit your height and frame and find your starting weight! An Exercise Specialist will discuss the benefits of strength training with you and will provide a basic training schedule for you to follow.

Fitness Assessment*
Have your fitness level evaluated! The YMCA Personal Trainers will conduct a body fat analysis, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility testing. This is a great way for you to determine your fitness starting point, improvement needed or change your current fitness plan.
