MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Cancellation Policy – To cancel your membership, please fill out a cancellation notice and return your card and keys (if a Fitness Center member). We need 30 days notice of cancellation. Please notify the YMCA membership office of any change in bank or employment that affects payment procedure.
Membership Cards – All YMCA members are required to carry and present their membership cards at the Courtesy Desk upon entering the YMCA. A membership card is to be used by the member whose name appears on the card. Allowing someone else to use a membership card is cause for cancellation of membership. Replacement fee for lost cards is $3.00.
LOCKER RENTALS/VALUABLES
The YMCA strongly encourages you to check valuables, billfolds, etc. at the Courtesy Desk OR obtain a locker on an annual basis. Lockers are $25 per year in the general locker room and free with Fitness Center Membership. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
EQUIPMENT CHECKOUT
Available at the Courtesy Desk for use at the YMCA: racquets, racquetballs, basketballs, volleyballs, wallyball and game room equipment. Please return items to Courtesy Desk in the same condition that you received the equipment or you are liable for it.
FACILITY RENTAL
Your Grand Island YMCA can be rented by churches, families, youth groups and other organizations. Call 308-395-9622 ext. 211 to go over details about your next group activity. First priority will be given to non-profits.
PROGRAM REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICIES
Online Registration: Online registration is now available. Visit us online at www.giymca.org to see our website as well as a complete list of YMCA programs! Registration has never been this easy.
Program Registration Fees: Members receive a reduced rate on programs. Non YMCA members who participate in activities pay a higher fee for programs. This higher Non-Member rate makes you a member of that program only.
Program/Class Cancellation & Refund Policy: Some programs have minimum and maximum enrollment requirements. The YMCA reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment. Cash refunds will not be given on program fees or memberships. A credit voucher toward another class or another type of membership may be issued under special circumstances. Full refunds will be allowed only when classes are cancelled by the YMCA. If the YMCA cancels one class in a session, we will offer a make up date.
Make-up Class Policy: Unfortunately due to limited space, no make-up classes are available for classes missed due to illness or other conflicts such as vacation, scheduling, etc.
Profiteering at the YMCA: Except by prior arrangement, individuals which include members, staff, volunteers, businesses or outside organizations are not allowed to use the YMCA facility for profiteering directly or indirectly. Non-compliance will result in termination of membership and use of the YMCA.
